2008 videos of Elena Katz

Additional commentary by Timothy Horrigan, August 11, 2011

Here are two videos made in the early spring of 2008, starring Elena Katz, a complainant before the New Hampshire House Redress Committee. She is originally from Russia, but she speaks English with near-native fluency. Her testimony before the Redress Committee was hard to follow, but not because of any deficiencies in her language skills. She speaks very good  English. Even in these edited videos, made by friendly videographers, she is hard to follow.

Her claim that she won a jury trial is partially true. She and her husband Arnold Grodman did get $10,000 in 1998 thanks to errors made by the DCYF after they lost the custody of their daughter. But the custody decision itself was upheld, and the damages were a tiny fraction of the millions sought by the Katz-Grodmans.

Since this video was made, Ms. Katz's daughter (who was born in 1991) has become an adult. But, her parents' legal war continues.
