additional commentary by Rep. Timothy Horrigan, member of the House Redress Committee
Petition #32 was inspired by a bit of a controversy over the City of Rochester's proposed re-zoning plan. A committee met for almost a decade without (in most cases) keeping minutes. The result of their work proved to be highly unpopular, and Rochester Rep. Cliff Newton spearheaded a petition drive. Ironically, he was one of the many city officials who worked on the plan over the years.
Reps. Newton & Avard are joined by Thomas Kaczynski, Jr., a Rochester resident who doesn't like zoning in general and really hates this plan. The interview was taped sometime between February & April 2012

This is one of several TV shows which Rep. Kevin Avard has done about the House Redress Committee. I have gotten a fair amount of crap from leadership for talking about the petitions on my web site, but Rep. Avard has been producing a cable TV series and a YouTube channel, with (as far as I know) no crappy reception whatsoever.
Kevin Avard's "Speak Up!" videos:
Nicholas & Samantha Haas, along with Kimberly Rice and Rep. John Burt (2012 Petition #33)
Rep. Cliff Newton & Rochester resident Tom Kaczynski (2012 Petition #32)
James J. Miller (of Miller & Todd fame) with Joshua Youssef (2012 Petition #26)
