This probably doesn't deserve a whole page but what the heck...
President Obama appeared on The View on Thursday, July 29, 2010— and he delved into the war(s) and the economy and the firing of Shirley Sherrod, but the main thing the panel wanted to know was: are he and the First Lady attending the Chelsea Clinton wedding?
The answer is No. He said it's
hard enough having one President at the wedding, He also warned Baba
Wawa, Whoopi and the other three View-women that they would not be
invited to Malia's and Sasha's weddings. (His daughters are 9 and 12
years old, so their weddings are probably two decades in the future
from now.)
One of the View panelists, the
token rightwinger Elizabeth Hasselbeck, made some disgraceful
anti-gay comments a few days back, but the topic of gay marriage
did not come up. At least I don't think it did. I didn't actually
watch the show; I just looked at a few highlights on Huffington
Post.
