Here
is some truly bizarre video from Presidential hopeful Rick Perry,
courtesy of ThinkProgress.
He didn't say anything this wild in New
Hampshire. He accuses the Federal Reserve of treason and calls
for the execution of Fed chair Ben Bernanke. This threat comes
from a Governor who has executed over 200 inmates, not all of them
guilty.
By the way, in case, you are wondering, the reason why
increasing the money supply is risky is because it drives up interest
rates. Interest rates (except on credit cards, which are
unsecured loans made to people who don't have much money) are near
zero. Some commodities (e.g., oil and certain foodstuffs) are
going up in price because of supply issues, but there is no monetary
inflation.
