This material was on my main Paris Hilton page for a couple of years. I didn't want to get rid of it entirely, but it was getting kinda outdated and wasn't adding that much to the page.

! PARIS IS ENGAGED! (or not, as the case may be...)
In the Spring of 2005, Paris Hilton ostensibly got engaged— to a guy named Paris. The other Paris was a 27-year-old Greek shipping heir named Paris Latsis. (Frankly, I never heard of the guy before.) "PARIS & PARIS" quickly became darlings of the supermarket checkout-line media, even though the Other Paris just seemed to be basically an amiable, relatively unassuming fellow with no special talents.
Click
here for some video of Paris & Paris cheerfully tolerating some
rather boring pursuers. They do make a nice-looking couple, but
it must be tiresome being followed around all the time like that.
But eventually, it turned out that they weren't getting married after all (e.g., see this September 30, 2005 article from USA Today. Ironically, it was the unfamous Paris who dumped the famous one!) But she kept the huge diamond engagement ring, although there are some rumors that it was just a fake cubic zirconia ring which she wore specifically to dazzle the paparazzi.
On Veterans Day weekend 2005 a web site called TMZ.com posted a video of her new beau getting into a minor car accident and then being pulled over by the LAPD. The beau was another hunky Greek shipping heir, Stavros Niarchos III. Paris was in the car with him, along with several lesser celebrities. The cops didn't bother to test Niarchos' sobriety, choosing instead to simply let him off with a warning. We don't know where Paris and her friends were going, but my guess is Carl's Jr.
November 14, 2005 TabloidWhore.Blogspot.com posting (using info from People Magazine) about a possibly related incident. Niarchos allegedly hit a pothole while he was driving Paris to catch a flight to Vegas— and she hitched a ride to LAX with some paparazzi. Oddly, there are no photos to document this story.
The year 2005 ended on a not-so-great note for Stavros and Paris. One of his buddies, a freelance event organizer named Brian Quintana sued Paris for harassment after she (allegedly) left a series of nasty messages on his voicemail. Quintana claims to have handled Niarchos's PR for a couple of years. (I am not sure why a college kid with no visible talents or show-biz aspirations needs a PR man— at least, I don't understand why he needed one during the years before he got involved with Paris Hilton.) Then, on New Year's Eve, Paris hosted a 21-and-over gala at a Vegas nightclub, and the 19-year-old Stavros got carded at the door. He had to sit by himself all night in the restaurant next door. At some point after this incident, they broke up.
Her most famous lover since then has been Stavros' USC schoolmate Matt Leinart, who is now the Arizona Cardinals' quarterback. Her steadiest lover has been an androgynous fashion model named Caroline d'Amore.
