Here are some typical questions which you might have to score if you get a job as a Measured Progress test scorer:
Grade 3 math (from New Hampshire & other states): the “Rabbit Fence” question
Grade 4 math (from Montana): the “Cookie” question
Grade 4 reading (from Montana): the “Volcano” question
Grade 8 reading (from Montana): the “Zamboni” question
Grade 8 math (from many states, including Massachusetts): the “Geltz & Luna” question
Grade 10 reading (from Montana): the “Informational Interviewing” question
(These questions can and do move around from state to state.)

The Boston Public Library has created a very nice set of practice tests for Grades 4, 8, and 10. These are geared towards the MCAS test, of course, but the tests in the other states are very similar to the MCAS. Unlike the real MCAS, this is a truly interactive test, which explains the right and wrong answers as the student goes along:
