It is hard to imagine, but Sarah Palin hasn't always dominated the American political scene. Not so long ago, she was the virtually unknown first-term governor of a remote state with the 47th-largest population out of 50. But then, one day at the end of the summer of 2008, she had greatness thrust upon her: John McCain made her a star. And now she won't go away!
